Parent(s) of DeWitt School student
After I posted today, I started thinking that maybe I should actually ask permission to blog about this situation out of respect and any legal issue. I sent the parent a private message via the forum I see this posted on. The parent gave me complete permission as she said, "The more people aware of what schools do, the better". BONUS.
The parent told me, too, that another thing that just adds to the frustration of this goddamn school is their "entitlement" mentality, as it was put to me. Every year before school, these schools send out a LENGTHY list of school supplies. Even the elementary aged kids have a list that would EASILY cost a parent $50/per pupil. That's a lot of cash for an age that uses scissors, crayons, and glue sticks! But, in DeWitt, parent, Marcy, told me add on colored pencils, flash cards, regular pencils, pencil cases, folders, composition books, and even CLASS donations of kleenex, hand sanitizer, Clorox Wipes, etc. When I was a kid, our TAX dollars paid for that stuff. I didn't need a THING until maybe middle school and that was only what I wanted to keep organized (folders, trapper keepers, etc). Marcy said it is ALWAYS money there and they are constantly whining about how much they do NOT have. Marcy says it's an affluent neighborhood and I should look at their transparency reporting on their main webpage.
Right on the front page of their website, a link to their transparency. How enlightening!
ONE HUNDRED FORTY THREE THOUSAND?? And they have to supply their own pencils in elementary school? No wonder! No money left after paying that dickhead's salary. I also read then DeWitt teachers are the HIGHEST paid in their county AND in the top five in the tri-county area. But goddamn it, supply your own pencils and give us kleenex.
Marcy said last year this school district worked for a few months without a contract. I guess teachers can't strike in Michigan per Michigan law so Marcy said EVERY morning before school they would walk arm in arm in their parking lots and around their buildings parading in front of parents as they dropped their kids off. How fucking unclassy can you get? Personally, I at least if they were to strike, nobody would have to get up in the morning and expose themselves to their bullshit. Highest paid teachers in their county and they whine like the pussies they are.
Marcy said it wasn't only income they were bitching about, but their "rising health costs". Does anyone see the irony there? LIBERALS voted Obama and his healthcare in. Schools are LIBERAL. This school is pissed off about it. The karma police just bit their fucking ass. Stupid fuckbag teachers. Those who can do, do. Those who can't do TEACH.
On Twitter, this graphic came up in a circle I follow. Funny shit right there.
Anyway, Marcy gave me permission to post her letters to the school about the assault accusations as long as I take out names, etc. Please feel free to use them as a template if you find yourself in a similar situation.

DeWitt Public Schools Bullying Sagas
The parent(s) of this Joey kid haven't posted today about any updates, but I do see where I missed yesterday's. I will copy and paste because it is easier.
"Another day without any contact from this school so in my nature, it was time to do another step. I sent email to the president and vice president of the school board. Ironically, Mr. President works for a law-firm. Coincidence? I think not. Personally, I think they ALL have the best interests of the school so I know my attempts will just be turned around to go back on me, but at least this people will be 'bothered' and know I don't stop. It was THIS email that got the superintendent's attention. Imagine that. I am telling you, do NOT be afraid to move up the chain to get a response. Mr. OverPaid Superintendent (did I mention he makes $143,000 a year?) just reiterated what had transpired on Friday (as if I didn't already know this) and told me the principal and teacher did NOT find any evidence of bullying. IMAGINE THAT. In doing Google searches, I obtained NUMEROUS news stories of kids who have killed themselves and the school(s) have found 'no evidence'. "
"Let's get one thing straight. A school's TOP PRIORITY is the school's liability. PERIOD. They will do bare minimum required by law and to prevent any liability, but they do NOT want to get involved. PERIOD. Ms. Principal followed with email stating, again, there was no "evidence" of bullying and cited an incident that contradicts Trevor's story. She continued to sayJohnny is afraid of my husband because he apparently "swears" about Johnny. SO, school NOW wants to police what may or may not happen off school time and property. I know of ZERO incidents where my husband has sworn about this kid and REGARDLESS, they aren't the police of what happens at home! PERIOD."
"What's happened here? They've taken the little shithead's word for it and made a verdict without even consulting my husband or me on other allegations. That's how they work. LIABILITY. In speaking with other parents in the district, they've had similar experiences. In fact, one student who was a victim was suspended for physically defending himself. See how that works? LIABILITY. "
"I have made it known to DeWitt Public Schools that Johnny and his family are to SEIZE from any contact with my son and my family in ANY way, shape, or form. I am DONE."
DAMN! Why can't this piece of shit liberal school just come back and say, "We've addressed with Johnny's parents and with Johnny concerns you and Joey have. You can be assured that Joey is safe at school and any problem has been taken care"? instead, they are turning this all around to make the victim's parents the "problem". This blows my mind!! Making accusations to these parents of what they may or may not do on their own time is WAY out of line, in my opinion. The parent mentioned, too, in her post she was also in contact with an antibullying advocate in her area (who was the one who got the Michigan law passed) and the family attorney. MIND BLOWING.

Ongoing bullying story I am following
I've been following a story via social media and various forums about a school district in Michigan. Specifically, DeWitt School District in DeWitt, MI. One of the parents has been discussing a situation they are currently in and it just blows my mind.
They have a child whom I will call Joey because I truly don't know the kid's name. Joey is in third grade in this district and apparently, became friends with another kid whom I will call Johnny for the same reasons. It appears Johnny has issues of his own as this kid is two years older than his peers in the same grade. He is at 5th grade by age, but currently is enrolled in third. Obviously, there are issues there from the get-go. I don't know what those issues are. I don't know if the parent has mentioned the issue. Anyway, Joey and Johnny were friends in last year's school year, but it looks like there was some trouble that started back then but it was resolved immediately by the teacher. Give that teacher an award as you don't see many step up like that. Schools, in general, just don't want to get involved.
It looks like Joey had many, many concerns since the beginning of the school year where Johnny was concerned. Joey would go home and express distress about how this Johnny kid wasn't his friend anymore and how he was mean to him and whatever else issue there was. Parents had contacted Joey's teacher on more than one instance about these issues. On each occasion, the teacher came back and explained there was no problem with these children and that they were actually friends. But, Joey still came home upset each day and on and on it went.
Here is where this story gets REALLY interesting.
Last week, there was a week-long field trip for this class. The distress after each day from Joey didn't stop. Here is what his mother said online:
"I went to the museum to drop money off for my son for the gift shop because he had forgotten it in the morning. When I got there, I found my son and standing right next to him was Johnny. Naturally, I was concerned so I told Johnny it wasn't nice when kids are not nice to other kids. Clearly, Johnny's guilt went right to his head. It wasn't even an hour after school got out and Ms Principal called me ripping me a new ass because I said "don't bully Joey. I don't like bullies" She continued to school me how I am not permitted to say anything to any child or I would not be able to chaperone. This is where I went full BITCH MODE. I told Ms.Fact Finding Principal that I was NOT a chaperone, that I was there on my OWN time, and that I was NOT on school property so now what did she have? The silence on her end was quite amusing. Owned. Are all school personnel equally ignorant?! Then she had the largest hairy balls of brass to say to me 'well, you wouldn't want another parent to say something to Joey' to which I went into YELLING mode 'NO..I would HOPE another adult would intervene on my behalf and GOD HELP JOEY when he got his little ass home!'. But perhaps, what is most mind blowing is the fact that Johnny's parents were MORE concerned about the fact I said something to their kid than what the kid may have done to PROMPT it! I mean, just WOW. No wonder our society is fucked up nowadays"
Yes, re-read that. Not only did this principal fail to get her facts straight before making accusations, but she has started dictating when and when NOT a parent can intervene on their child's behalf. UNFUCKING REAL. They didn't prevent the problem when the parents expressed concern previously and it escalated. Now they are pissed off when the parent took care of the problem on her own time and off school property. More on this story as it is posted. This will be interesting to see how it resolves.

School Bullying
When I was a kid in school, we didn't have anti-bullying policies. Yes, there was teasing and some were relentless, but we also lived in a time when schools were ABLE to handle the situation in a way they seemed fit. I distinctly recall a wooden paddle type of thing in the principal's office. I EVEN think I remember a kid having been exposed to it's capabilities.
But that was a time when even after you had your ass paddled at school, you would go home and have it paddled AGAIN by your parents! Parents encouraged school discipline and all of us kids KNEW the consequences of our actions. We didn't have kids killing themselves over teasing to this degree and we certainly didn't have pansy-ass "educators" taking it up the ass by entitlement minded parents.
We now live in a country were everyone is terrified of law-suits and liability. As a result, schools have created policies that, in a nutshell, tend to victimize the victim even more. Schools are terrified to do what they really need to do to take care of a problem. Instead, you see these "1, 2, 3, Magic" bullshit programs in play and "timeouts" as a consequence.
I mean, REALLY??? A timeout?? Yea, I am SURE that'll teach 'em. I guarantee you take a wooden paddle or a leather belt to a kid's ass one time, and they will think twice before they fuck up again.
Because my son has recently started being a target of a kid at school, I have done some research and am in complete and utter AWE at the stories I read. The outrageous number of kids killing themselves over bullying (some as young as 11!!!), the personal protection orders parents are forced to get against five year olds, lawsuits against schools (and a NICE sum of settlement) for failing a student.....just MIND BLOWING.
Bottom line with these schools is LIABILITY. They want to avoid it AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. Pay attention how they handle things the next time you have a problem and apply that LIABILITY word to what's happened. Your kid gets suspended for using self defense? It's ALL about liability and not your kid.

Liberal Hypocrisy is BLINDING
We all know liberals are so hypocritical. That's no big surprise. But as I sit here watching David Letterman, I am ASTOUNDED that he lets this liberalism be that obvious via the very content of his talk show.
David Letterman, for starters, is OBSESSED with this Sterling guy and his racist remarks. The "jokes" he punches clearly shows his views on the topic. Of course, Letterman also had to spew something like "Sterling doesn't get the first amendment doesn't include every little thing you are thinking about right now and ya da ya da..." He went on about other things it "doesn't" include.
My blood pressure rose.
Seriously? SERIOUSLY?!?! Why DOESN'T include "every little thing"? I don't recall seeing any exclusions in that amendment. Did Obama add one in between diversions?? I didn't think so.
Hypocrisy #1: If it had been some WHITE slur from a minority, this wouldn't be an issue. AT ALL. It just wouldn't be. Letterman wouldn't be mentioning it and he certainly wouldn't be saying it doesn't belong in our first amendment rights. It wouldn't have made any news and nobody would be losing their jobs or the like. And why is that? Because whites are more "accepted"? What difference does that make? A "racist" remark is a "racist" remark, right?
I'll tell you why. Because white people are AFRAID of minorities and being labeled. THAT is why. They are afraid they, as well (especially being a Hollywood type), will be accused of "racism" and all that bullshit. THAT is why. It's the VERY same thing with with LGBT.
Hypocrisy #2: David Letterman's little guest tonight was Jim Parsons. Of course, they had to get on the gay topic and about the recently drafted gay NFL player. They discussed the infamous kiss gay NFL guy had with his boyfriend. Jim said there were people revolted by it, but it was "progress" supporters didn't condone the views/opinions/feelings of the opposing people.
Oh yes. Yes, he did. In other words, he was saying that those that oppose the LGBT are not "right" in their views/feelings. That means all of those Christians who are biblical and don't feel that LGBT was meant to be "normal" are WRONG for what we feel and believe.
Does anyone else see the hypocrisy in that? Why are THEY right to feel the way THEY do, but we aren't? The last time I checked, we not only have freedom of speech, but let's not forget that religion part, too. My religion doesn't believe that man shall lie down with another man as he would a woman.
Here is the other kicker. Why is it Liberals think disagreeing with something means HATE? They absolutely do! You hate Obama, you are racist. You don't believe homosexuality is "normal" because of your religion so you are homophobic. Absolutely absurd.
You wear a dress that makes you look fat, in my opinion. You think it flatters you. Do I hate you? No. I may hate the dress, but I don't hate you. In fact, if I am even around you, I probably love you.
I don't believe liberals are TRULY American. They seem to oppose just about everything this country was founded on!! Absolutely sickening.

Stupid-Ass Greedy Siblings
My uncle died. He lived five states across the country from 2 siblings and maybe 7 from the other. He was long time bachelor, greedy, self-centered, and became ill within the past five years which eventually killed him despite other life longevity approaches.
Two of his siblings (one in the 7th state) are well-to-do. They don't work and married into successful families. The other sibling is my parent. My parent owns his own business, but it's a small business so it's not exactly lucrative, but it's what my parent worked for since 1979. My parent is the only employee, but will have friends work to help when needed.
The other two siblings were flying (via JET) as they have the money to do so and have frequent flying miles (because they jet all the time everywhere). They wanted my parent to also go out to help clean out my uncle's home and drive my uncle's vehicle back across country.
My parent ended up taking the TRAIN out there because flying last minute was pretty costly. This morning, he ended up NOT taking the car back because you simply cannot add a car to your insurance policy that does not belong to you nor one that you have no vested interest. One sibling (the 7th state'er) just thinks they (that sib) is always correct about everything and apparently just didn't think that was correct. My parent got on the phone with my other parent who knows insurance laws in our home state and proceeded to put the 7th state sibling on the phone since it was that one who was arguing.
This sibling asked my parent back at home "What if someone purchases a vehicle out of state?" to which the reply was "Then a person would have a bill of sale to show ownership!".
Duh.
So that sibling had the balls of brass to say to my other parent "You just didn't want your spouse to have that car, did you?"
Seriously? SERIOUSLY! I am hoping like all hell my parent stood up for his spouse. Rude effin' in-laws SUCK ASS. HAIRY ass, at that. Did I mention that sib is LIBERAL? Imagine that.
They called Progressive. Progressive was the company my uncle utilized for auto.
No. You CANNOT add yourself to someone's auto policy as a driver. Only the policy holder can do that.
Duh. That's just common sense.
Oh. The policy older is dead? Progressive cancelled the policy.
Smooth move, ex-lax. SMH
But get this one. Oh, my parent couldn't just transfer the title, either, in thy name. Nope. That had to be put into EXECUTOR sibling's name first. Yep. We told them all this previously, as well, but they don't listen. We just went through this with my OTHER parent's mother three years ago. But, these people just think THEY are correct. These types are the ones that do not know what it is to really need and/or want. They've always had things at the tip of their fingers. They had nannies. Their grandchildren think Disney Cruises are just as commonplace to people as going to a movie! I am not even kidding! It's revolting. For the record, I've NEVER been on a Disney Cruise. I've never been to Florida! I've worked since I was been 15 years old and live in a 900 sq foot home! I love thrift stores and children's consignment stores because THAT is what is currently in MY budget.
OK..anyway. On with the story to get to my point of the above. Sibling 1 (not 7 or parent) has a kid who is CEO of a company. He claims his "buddy" lawyers told him differently and that you CAN take the car.
Yes. You CAN take the car. NO, you CANNOT insure it and it would SUCK HAIRY BALLS to have an incident and have no COVERAGE. Dumb fucker.
So here is my question to them all. If it has to go to the one executor sibling first, why is MY PARENT taking time out of my parent's biz and spending money to travel all the way out there?
Let me guess. Because NOBODY ELSE wants to drive it across the country?
DING! Tell them what they've won, Johnny!
Nailed it. Ain't nobody like them got time to be driving across country in a 2006 Cavalier! Come on! So they wanted my PARENT to do the dirty work.
Needless to say, my parent REFUSED to drive it under those circumstances. Guess what? My parent is back on the fuckin' train home. The other two? Jetting. Probably first class at that. SMH. Did they even OFFER to fork out money to buy my parent a PLANE ticket back? I don't know. I hope to hell they did and my parent just decided not to fly. It would be pretty effin rude to not offer.
DO NOT trust your siblings in estate matters. I am just sayin'. People get greedy. They get "put out" and want to shove shit on to others.
This stole the cake with me. Those two siblings have been generous to myself and my kids, but you say that shit to my other parent (their in-law), and I'm sorry. That's it.
Think what you want, but have some couth. I'm done. Ain't nobody got time for wealthy liberals who think they know what's up in the real world. We all don't live in Never Never Land.
